- Download the latest Version of Latex Beamer Class from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/latex-beamer/ :
Download the packages named :
- Latex-beamer
- pgf
- xcolor
- Un-tar the packages : you now have tree different directories named /beamer, /pgf and /xcolor!!
- Create sub-sub-sub-directory texmf/tex/latex/ in /usr/local/share/texmf/
- Then make three more subdirectories /beamer, /pgf and /xcolor under /latex that u just created in last step.
- Now copy all the contents of three directories /beamer, /pgf and /xcolor that you created by un-taring the downloaded packages.
- Finally, you need to rebuild TEX’s filename database. This done by running the command texhash or ktexlsr (they are the same)
